Alain combines his military, martial art, and Asian experiences with his business, law, and conflict resolution education into a powerful way of living with balance, honor, and integrity – The Warrior’s Edge.
Martial arts, the military, and living in Asia and studying from warriors throughout history have influenced Alain and his teachings. They didn’t just influence his teaching of martial arts (primarily Hapkido), self-defense, and other warrior ideals, but also his negotiating and conflict resolution services and programs as well. Alain believes the skills and attitude found in the warrior lifestyle go beyond the physical aspects of training and can improve one’s entire life.
The Chinese general Sun Tzu wrote The Art of War over 2,500 years ago, but the principles for war transcend warfare and have practical applications to all the conflicts we face in our lives – in our workplaces, our families, and even within ourselves. Sun Tzu’s teachings can provide an approach to conflict that enables one to:
Prevent conflicts before they arise.
Peacefully and quickly resolve conflicts when they do arise.
Act with courage, intelligence and benevolence in adversarial situations.
Convert potential enemies into friends.
Control your emotions before they control you.
Sun Tzu is but one “warrior” resource that has influenced The Warrior’s Edge. Alain has studied various martial arts since 1982 and teaches the Korean self-defense art of Hapkido. He lived, trained and studied in both Japan and Korea. He served with the 82nd Airborne Division and the 2nd Infantry Division as a paratrooper and sniper instructor. Following the warrior’s path for over 25 years enables Alain to implement and teach concepts to help others.
Let Alain help you Discover Your Warrior’s Edge to Stay Safe, Defend Yourself, Resolve Conflict, Negotiate More Powerfully, and Take Action to Achieve Remarkable Results!
